After much deliberating we’ve decided that in order to keep up with demand and quality we’ll need to increase the prices of our products on the 18th of July.
This has not been an easy decision, we have managed to keep our prices at 2019 levels up until now by absorbing the increasing costs ourselves. This has become unsustainable. With wage increases and ingredient mark-ups from our suppliers we need to increase our prices to continue to provide the quality products you’ve come to know and love.
There is nothing quite like a nice piece of of our Devils Food chocolate cake. Many of us have most likely been tempted by that piece of cake in the refrigerator first thing in the morning. But resisted the temtation because we tought it would not be good for us. However, research shows that eating Chocolate Cake for breakfast is actually good for the brain and the waistline.
In a study done at the Syracuse University in New York, where 968 people between the ages of 23 and 98 participated. The results of the study showed that chocolate has a positive effect on cognitive performance. And if you eat it regularly, it can improve your memory and abstract thinking.
Another study done at Tel Aviv University, revealed that when people eat chocolate every morning, it helps them to work more effectively. But they also found that dessert (like Chocolate Cake), as part of a balanced 600-calorie breakfast helped dieters to lose more weight — and keep it off in the long run.
So next time you feel the urge for chocolate cake for breakfast, you can do so without feeling guilty. Because it may actually be good for you.
